King-American paramedic crews and ambulance units are dispatched via the city’s 9-1-1 emergency response system and are on call 24 hours a day, serving thousands of San Francisco residents, medical providers, hospitals and visitors annually and fulfilling a vital role in response to 9-1-1 emergency calls.

King-American’s professionally trained emergency medical dispatchers effectively dispatch units to emergency calls while continuing to manage the provision of scheduled services. At King-American, for the assignment and dispatch of ambulances, we use the most advanced system available – Priority Dispatch. Our emergency medical dispatchers ensure the timely delivery of life-saving care utilizing state-of-the-art data systems and advanced technology, including GPS (Global Positioning System), location data, pre-arrival instruction and priority in EMS response. Emergency Medical Standby
King-American Ambulance Company provides emergency medical standby for street fairs, community events, sporting events, concerts, large meetings and conventions. The company's history of emergency medical standby service for public events started with the Panama-Pacific International Exposition, a world's fair held in San Francisco in 1915. Other clients included the San Francisco 49ERS (1946-2012). Today, King-American is contracted to provide emergency medical standby and transport services at AT&T Ball Park for all San Francisco Giants home games, concerts and events in association with Dignity Health and Saint Francis Memorial Hospital. You will find the company on duty for all conventions and trade shows at San Francisco's Moscone Center. In 2013, King-American announced its agreement with the San Francisco War Memorial Performing Arts Foundation to staff paramedics and medical technicians with standby services at the San Francisco Opera, Symphony and Ballet.
